Parati

After a Grand Dining Room lunch Jim went to the cabana to relax while Pat took a 25 minute tender ride into the town of Parati. It was a cute little historic town which we were told it may become a UNESCO site in the future. The walk from the tender had wooden slates that were wide so Pat had to be careful walking. It had beautifully preserved Portuguese colonial architecture, charming narrow streets which Pat loves with large cobblestone streets of which you had to be careful maneuvering or you could twist your ankle. There was an imposing fort where 2 horses were grazing and a church that was being restored inside. There were little shops and restaurants tucked inside the quaint buildings. Pat managed to find a couple of things so the trip was a success.
