Our tour followed a route that inspired Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw to proclaim, "I have heard that the road to Cetinje via Kotor is one of the most beautiful in the world, and that is the reason I have come.". We rode up 25 hairpin turns that each have a marker so you know how many more you have to go. There are majestic mountains on one side and a stunning beautiful bay on the other. We stopped at a restaurant for homemade bread, cured ham, homemade cheese and apple wine or juice. Everything was made there. Drove on to Centinje where we visited The Museum of King Nikola, followed by a scenic ride along the Budva Riviera, a resort known for it's beaches. The town of Kotor is a World Heritage Site and the old town is well preserved and surrounded by a protective wall built in the Middle Ages. Very quaint city to walk.
