We had a beautiful drive that brought us to the Minho province. Our first stop was in Guimaraes, which was the first capital of Portugal and the birthplace of the first king. It is another UNESCO World Heritage site in the historical center of town. We walked the streets and saw a Cathedral as well as a Saturday market that was happening in the square with people dressed in medieval costumes. That was fun to see as lots was going on. Animals, birds, men forging and people selling their wares.
